Queen Edith's Way is a particularly desirable road about 2.5 miles South of the City Centre. It is well placed for access to the mainline Railway Station with services to London King's Cross and Liverpool Street in about 52 and 67 minutes respectively. Addenbrooke's Hospital and Biomedical Campus is also within easy reach and is planned to be one of the largest centres of health, science and medical research in the world. There are local shops within walking distance and bus services to central Cambridge are 50 yards away. A number of leisure and sport facilities are within walking or cycling distance including Hills Road Sports Centre, providing indoor and outdoor tennis courts and gym, and Cambridge Leisure which provides supermarkets, restaurants and a cinema complex to the North of Hills Road. There are a number of state and private schools within close proximity, including Queen Edith's Community Primary School, Netherhall Secondary School/Sixth Form College and The Perse. There are further sixth form colleges in Long Road and Hills Road, the latter being top of the Performance Leagues for a number of years. Local shopping is also readily available.
