Information for tenants

For full details of renting through TuckerGardner, see our short Guide for Tenants. If you have further questions about renting, please contact your nearest TuckerGardner office.

How to apply

In brief, once you have chosen a property you need to complete a Tenancy Application Form and return it to us with a payment for the tenancy administration fee. We will not remove a property from our availability list until we have received your form and payment, so if you wish to secure a property it is beneficial to get these to us at your earliest opportunity

You may withdraw your application within 24 hours and receive a refund of the fee. After this time the fee is forfeit if you withdraw as we will already have incurred costs in processing your application.

Once we have received your application we will take up references and may also carry out a credit reference check. In certain circumstances a guarantor may be required. We will let you know if this is the case.

On occasion we may receive more than one application on a property. Our commitment is that we will only ever process one application at a time on a property so if multiple applications are made a decision will be made as to which application we will progress. Any unsuccessful parties will be informed at the earliest opportunity and receive a full refund of any amounts paid. We will also assist, if required, in finding suitable alternative accommodation.
